This match was played 7v7 with subsitutions every quarter. The match started off brightly, with end-to-end football between two very evenly-matched teams.
West Bridgford took the lead with a fine shot from the edge of the area which dipped under the cross-bar.
The score was levelled a few minutes later when a West Bridgford back-pass found its way into their own net.
Star Strike then took the lead with a fine goal from top-scorer Kiran.
Half time saw Star Strike in the lead, but this was soon cancelled out when a West Bridgford corner deflected off a defender's knee and into the goal.
The second half continued with the end-to-end play with Star Strike making many chances, but again failing to capitalise on them.
That was until Ezra picked up the ball on half way and made a surging run up the field before cleverly chipping the ball over the advancing keeper.
Reuben put the result beyond doubt when he latched onto the end of a fine corner from Oscar and smashed the ball into the back of the net.
A great team effort today with some notable star performances. It feeels good to be a winning team!
